Mike Landed ‘Living Loaded’ FOX Pilot!

‘The Help’ and ABC’s ‘Pan Am’ star, Mike Vogel, has landed the lead in FOX’s comedy pilot Living Loaded according to Deadline.

From It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney and based on the book of the same name by Dan Dunn, the project follows a hard-partying blogger (Vogel) who is forced to reevaluate his career plan when he gets a new job as a public radio host. McElhenney, Dunn and executive producer Rob Rosell wrote the script.

Brooks Douglass addresses Heaven’s Rain

The real Brooks Douglass (played by Mike in “Heaven’s Rain”) is interviewed on NEWS OK, in which he addresses “Heaven’s Rain,” the events that inspired him to write the movie, what’s in store for his future endeavors and mentions Mike and how great it was to work with him on set. Throughout the interview there are clips of the movie in which you’ll see Mike as Brooks. You can view the video by clicking here.

More facts: ‘Heaven’s Rain’ opens Nationwide this March, while the screenings in the Oklahoma and Texas areas will be in the end of January.

Mike-Vogel.com would like to thank Julea Douglass (Brooks’ wife) for giving us the heads up on Heaven’s Rain. For those of you who do not know, Mike plays Brooks Douglass, who becomes an Oklahoma State Senator and authors groundbreaking victims’ rights legislation, is forced to move forward from his past. Taryn Manning also stars as Leslie Douglass.

We wanted to let you know that Dateline NBC is doing a two-hour special on Brooks and Leslie Douglass this Friday night (Jan. 7) at 9pm (8pm Central Time). The show will focus on their lives before and after their parents’ deaths and the story behind the making of Heaven’s Rain.

Hello! Welcome to the new version of Mike-Vogel.com, Mike’s official web site on the internet. This site began in late 2003 when Mike was barely a new comer with two movies being released; MTV’s Wuthering Heights and Michael Bay’s ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.’ If it hadn’t been for Mike’s parents, I wouldn’t have had this amazing opportunity. Not only did I meet Mike and his lovely wife, Courtney, on the set of the movie Poseidon, I also got to make amazing friends. And in-between that I was gaining knowledge on the tech side of web design. So my thanks goes to the Vogel family and to the loyal visitors that have been visiting since!

This is a new chapter on cyberspace, getting on with the times of social networking and high-tech looking designs. We are just getting started and will bring you anything Mike (not including paparazzi pictures, so don’t come here looking for those.)
