Mike Vogel plays Johnny Jones in Home, a con man sentenced to 10 000 hours of community service at a struggling children’s home. In the Home-interview down below he talks about George Müller, foster care and adoption, and why he thinks caring for a child is what makes a parent a parent.
What struck him most about Müller wasn’t the 10 000 orphans. It was the refusal to take a salary or ask anyone for money. Müller prayed for provision and waited for it to come.
Mike Vogel on what he hopes people do after seeing the film: “Not everyone is called or will be a foster parent or an adoptive parent, but we can all give in some way of our time, of our finances, or of our homes, and of our love to kids that don’t have the upbringing that we may have had.”
